Irregular periods? This letter from a mom can be helpful

Ladies, Since i saw a post on delayed periods, wanted to share how i overcame my irregular menstrual cycle and a couple of other problems. I'd come back home from office everyday, and drop down on the bed on my stomach, almost crying because of the acute upper back pain owing to bad sitting posture at work. I'd get frequent migrane attacks (i wasn't on any birth control pills), yet, just about anything was a trigger — late lunch, strong sun, stress at work, sleep deprivation, anything. And 3rd, my irregular cycles would drive me mad — bloated body,...

An exhilarating family weekend activity : SMAAASH’s Pitstop BrewPub

GurgaonMoms received an invite from SMAAASH Pitstop Brewpub and Sky Karting , Gurgaon. I usually extend these invites to some of our awesome bloggers in the community. However this one was too tempting for me to give it away. The family visited the new multi-level karting arena on a Sunday. We reached the venue around 12:30 pm. Battling Depression

“How can you be depressed when you have such a great life?” is like asking “How can you have asthma when there is air everywhere?” – Anonymous One day your seemingly normal self looks at itself in the mirror and fails to recognize the reflection. That day, your thoughts echo louder than your tears. You feel like a victim to a dementor sucking happiness from you, without the light from a patronus to protect you, and with one to give you a chocolate after. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” feels like the most deceitful adage ever, and you...

Book Review: Babies and Bylines by Pallavi Aiyar

At the risk of sounding like a snob, I’d be less than honest if I didn’t mention that I’m not too much of a reader of Indian authors.  I prefer the writing style and language of foreign authors. When I started this book, I had just finished one of Jeffrey Archer’s books and was dying to pick up the next in the series. So you can well imagine my surprise when I finished ‘Babies & Bylines’ in less than 48 hours. I just LOVED it!! I fell for it hook, line and sinker! My son, over 10 now, watched...
