Ever since I saw these wraps on MasterChef I have wanted to try this recipe. However, I created my own twists ( as usual). These are light and exploding with flavor.
Sometimes lettuce is not available easily in the NCR hence I’ve given a cabbage option as well. If you wish blanch the cabbage leaves for ten seconds in hot water.
Lettuce wraps with Mince meat
Wash and drain mutton keema( mince meat) . Sauté finely chopped onions, ginger and garlic paste. Add the keema. Cook for 3minutes- add pureed tomatoes. Add salt and pepper. Cook till meat is done. Add Veeba’s barbecue sauce and season.
Peel the lettuce whole. Wash the leaves and pat dry. Spoon in the mince. Top with red capsicum as a garnish.
Roll up and eat.
Cabbage wraps with vegetable medley
Boil potatoes, carrots, and beans. You can add corn or peas as well. When drained and cool add some Veeba Caesar dressing to this. Season if required. Add chopped walnuts.
Spoon into the cabbage and serve chilled. Garnish with red capsicum or coriander leaves.
Veeba’s barbecue sauce has an awesome smoky flavor to it. It tastes great with grilled meats and veggies too.
