“Selfless giving is the art of living.”– Frederic Lenz

We are going through some unprecedented times and we hope and pray that the pandemic ends soon. We are also coming across stories where our members are helping one another in whatever possible way they can to make their COVID journey a bit easier.

GurgaonMoms features these GurgaonMoms’ Samaritans and salutes our unsung heroes

Our member Gulreet Kaur  shares how a fellow mom, Kanika Arora, whom she has never met, helped her in the time of crisis

“I’ve read various posts on Humans of Mumbai and here I present Humans of Gurgaon…the Angels who silently move around helping people in need. This one I dedicate to Kanika Arora…I can’t tag her but she’s part of this community which is helping me get through this dreaded disease at every step.
So my whole family is Covid positive….today I was prescribed a drug that is almost out of stock in Gurgaon. So when I posted my requirement on Gurgaon moms to check the availability of the drug…This God-sent angel….my Covid warrior Kanika Arora happened to be in Galleria, the only place in Gurgaon where the drug was available. She coordinated with me, stood in line, and managed to buy the dosage that was required. We don’t know each other at all…we are just fellow humans. She not only bought it but came home to drop it which is I understand is totally out of her way.
My faith in humanity is restored today.”

Kudos to Kanika Arora for lending a helping hand and being one of the GurgaonMoms Samaritans

Our member Sonia Puri Dhillion has started an initiative to form a Human chain to help COVID patients at home.

Sonia helped a fellow mom Neha by sending her the required medicines after she reached out for help

“Many many thanks for such a wonderful soul. In like few hours I got the medicine delivered. I just don’t know how to thank you but definitely, you have saved me. Lots of love and blessings to you.”-Neha

Sonia has offered help to COVID patients, be it free home-cooked food or medicines to be delivered, and also keep the children whose parents are down with COVID and have nowhere to go.

Her post in the community is inspiring many to come forward to help people affected by this virus and join the Human Chain
