2. For the gravy paste combine ingredients no. 3,4,5,6,7,8,10,12,blend them in a mixer to get a smooth gravy paste. keep aside. 3.In a pressure cooker, on low flame, heat 2 tbsp refined oil. add tejpatta and broken whole red chillies,then add cumin seeds.Add turmeric powder and degi mirch powder. quickly add the gravy paste. simmer over medium flame till oil separates from gravy ( approx 10 min)or until the gravy( masala) is cooked. 4. Add yogurt & cook again for 2-5 min. 5. Add 1 cup water, garam masala & salt as per taste, bring it to boil. Add potatoes and give it 1 whistle on high flame. let it cool down . Now we can garnish it with green coriander. Yummy Dum Aloo is ready to serve. |
