The prayers of GurgaonMoms were answered as a gorgeous Saturday morning dawned on the 25th of March, 2023 after incessant rains the previous night.
Why did we all pray for a clear day you ask… it was because that was the day when the first casual catch-up of 2023 – S.T.I.R 2 – was scheduled to happen at the most happening location in Gurgaon – The Beer Café Sky Bar!
The ‘josh’ was high as we all trouped into the venue warmly welcomed by the hospitable staff present. The venue impressed everyone with its beautifully decorated interiors, comfortable seating and lovely lighting. The icing on the cake was the spacious outdoor area with cute garden umbrellas to provide shade and mist fans in place to beat the heat.
The team at The Beer Café Skybar went all out to make the experience enjoyable for us. From having more than enough servers doing the rounds with the yummy appetizers to the well-trained bartenders who poured beer, cocktails and mocktails non-stop to quench our thirst… the service was impeccable! To their credit, the food and drinks did not stop flying out of the kitchen for even one moment and we never had to call for any refills.
We had an expansive menu on offer and each dish tasted better than the next. The vegetarian appetizers included Angara Paneer, Hara Bhara Kebab, Honey Chilli Potato and Mac n Cheese Croquettes while the non-vegetarians had an equally good selection to choose from – Calcutta Chilli Chicken, Ajwaini Fish Tikka, Basil Chicken with Pesto and Malai Chicken Tikka. Even though after hogging on all these fantastic starters, there was really not much space left for more, but we also had an amazing selection on offer for lunch that included Graden Fresh Pizza, Loaded Chicken Pizza, Vegetarian and Chicken Pasta in Arabiatta Sauce, Veg Hakka Noodles and Veg Manchurian with Gravy. All of this was topped off with a droolicious Brownie and Ice cream.
A fantastic DJ played all the latest music and had us all grooving to his tunes and boy, did the ladies burn up the dance floor with the fabulous moves! The lovely photobooth that the team at The Beer Café Skybar got done especially for us as well as the other interiors provided the perfect backdrop for photo shoots and the ladies were busy as cameras clicked faster than one could snap their fingers.
Overall, a superb event where our lovely members got to Socialize, Talk, Invigorate, Rejoice at the second edition of S.T.I.R!
