- Cashew nuts – ¾ cup – dry roasted and crushed coarsely in a mixer
- Dried Figs- 8
- Poppy seeds – dry roasted lightly
- Ghee – 1 tblspn
- Cardamom powder – 1 tspn
- Milkmaid – ¾ cup
- Rose petals – for garnish
- Soak dried figs in warm water for 2 hrs
- Crush figs to a nice puree in a mixer.
- Heat a deep non-stick pan (kadhai).
- Add ghee.Add crushed fig puree. Mix.
- Add condensed milk.
- Add ½ of cashews. Mix well. Keep stirring.
- Add rest of cashews and keep mixing.
- Add cardamom powder.
- Keep mixing well till the mixture comes together and forms a lump.
- Keep on mixing well till the mixture leaves the sides.
- Transfer the entire mixture on to a butter paper kept in plate.
- Roll the mixture with the help of butter paper to form a log.
- Sprinkle poppy seeds generously on the entire log.
- Roll again with the help of butter paper so that the poppy seeds coat evenly on all sides of the log.
- Cool and keep in the fridge for ½ an hour.Cut into rolls. Serve garnished with rose petals.
