These days I am bitten by the bug of macro photography, so I spend hours together practicing mostly failing but my never-say-never spirit keeps me going…
I was sitting like an ape..on my haunches with eyes narrowed on that tiny water droplet hanging on the edge..ready to fall down n break into several small molecules…
I just thought to myself that how this droplet reminds us of a tiny tear…n I zoomed in my camera to capture the perfectly tear shaped round drop….
When I was focusing, God sent me a beautiful "sabr ka Phal meetha" gift…guess what I was focussing on the drop but I found the reflection of the tiny flowers growing on a plant kept right behind it …
Such moments give me goosebumps…and awakens my conscience …..million thoughts transit through my mind ..n I try to arrest as many as I could on a piece of paper….scribble it whether or not it makes any sense …but those are the purest and undiluted, unadulterated form of my sentiments…
I could relate it to our attitude towards life…..
Life is like a kaleidoscope ….we all see through the lens of our mind, heart n soul….we see what we want to see….
If we feel that the drop resembles a tear…it will appear like a sad tear to us….but if we change our focus n zoom in some more…n concentrate on the brighter side…..we might be able to see a beautiful blossoming flower i.e happiness, positivity or hope even in the most difficult situations or circumstances….
All we need to do is shift our focus towards better things….good n bad circumstances are inevitable however how we respond to these circumstances lies pretty much in our control….
So as we do in photography-focus only on the object that we want to see without completely overlooking the surroundings (they create a lovely bokeh effect btw )after all you just can not ignore them but you sure can channelise your energy to focus on the better things, on possibilities that will bring you more opportunities.
A camera is an instrument which teaches us how to see life without the camera…I love it when pictures force me to see beyond the obvious….For me, the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity as said by H.C.Bresson.
Allow me to share the image that evoked all these sentiments….it might not be a great image but…for me, every pic I click is my baby.
