Dosa waffles made with MTR dosa mix

Ingredients

  • MTR Dosa Mix 
  • 1/2 Cup Curd 
  • 1 Cup Water 
  • Grated carrots, finely chopped capsicum and onions
  • Refined oil
  • MTR Gun Powder
  • Tomato onion chutney or Coconut chutney.

Instructions

    1. In a bowl, add a cup of MTR dosa mix along with 1/2 cup curd and 1 cup water.
    2. Add grated carrots, finely chopped capsicum and onions and mix well.
    3. Make a smooth batter and keep it aside for 5 mins.
    4. Lightly grease a waffle pan and pour 2-3 big spoons full batter in the waffle pan.
    5. Close the lid and cook it nicely from both sides until they are golden brown in colour.
    6. Take them out and sprinkle some MTR gun powder on it.
    7. Serve with tomato onion chutney or coconut chutney.

Uttapam Handvo (Gujarati South Indian fusion) made with MTR Uttapam Mix

Ingredients

  • MTR Uttapam Mix 
  • Yogurt & Water 
  • Bottle Gourd /lauki
  • Carrots 
  • Ginger Garlic 
  • Chili paste 
  • Mustard seeds, curry leaves, sesame seeds mix
  • Refined oil
  • Green chutney or Gujarati chhundo.
  • Jaggery 
  • Salt 

Instructions

    1. Take MTR uttapam mix ,add yogurt and water according to the measurement on the packet.
    2. Add grated lauki, carrots, ginger garlic green chilli paste.
    3. Add salt and 2 tbsp jaggery. Mix well and keep it for 10-15 minutes.
    4. Take a pan , add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, sesame seeds mix and add ready uttapam mix, spread it even.
    5. Sprinkle sesame seeds, coriander leaves. Close the lid and cook it for 10 min.
    6. Flip it and cook it again for 10 min.
    7. MTR uttapam handva is ready to eat with tomato ketchup, green chutney or Gujarati chhundo.

Fusion Pancakes made with MTR Instant Dosa Mix

Fusion Pancakes   made with  MTR Instant Dosa Mix

Ingredients

  • MTR Dosa Mix 
  • Egg
  • Salt 
  • Mayonnaise 
  • Sausages 
  • Chopped vegetables 
  • Mozzarella Cheese  
  • Sugar 
  • Baking Powder
  • Milk 

Instructions

    1. Take a packet of MTR Dosa Mix, follow the procedure to make the batter.
    2. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp baking powder.
    3. Add in a mixture of 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk and 1 tbsp butter.
    4. Mix well, spread the mix over a hot nonstick pan. Make sure the spread is not thin.
    5. Once both sides are done, cool a bit.
    6. Spread mayonnaise, red hot sauce evenly
    7. Put sautéed veggies and sausages on one side with shredded mozzarella.
    8. Roll it and microwave for 10- 15 secs so that the cheese melts.

Mini-Uttapam made with MTR Dosa Mix

Ingredients

  • MTR Dosa Mix 
  • Finely chopped onions, green chilies and coriander
  • MTR Chutney Powder with Ghee 
  • Coconut Chutney

Instructions

  1. Take MTR dosa batter mix. Make a slightly thick batter by adding a bit of water and curd.
  2. Add a little salt to taste.
  3. Use a heavy-bottomed nonstick pan-I like the pancake pan to make mini Uttapams.
  4. Brush the pan with a bit of olive oil
  5. Add a ladle of the batter onto the pan.
  6. Sprinkle finely chopped onions, green chilies and coriander - let it stay for a minute and flip!
  7. Another minute to cook and we're good to go!
  8. Serve this with fresh coconut chutney and the MTR chutney powder mixed into a generous dollop of ghee !
  9. Enjoy with a cup of filter coffee!

GunPowder Rava Paniyaram made with MTR Rava Idli Mix

Ingredients

  • Rava Idli Mix - 1/2 cup
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Onions - 2 tbsp chopped finely
  • Green chilli - 1 chopped.
  • Ginger - 1/2 " inch chopped finely

Instructions

    1. Mix all the ingredients well and rest for 15 minutes.
    2. Grease the paniyara kal (pan)
    3. Pour in the batter and cook on both sides until cooked well and crisp.
    4. Mix gunpowder with ghee or gingerly oil.
    5. To the cooked paniyaram, apply this gunpowder mixture.
    6. Serve along with sambar or chutney

Paniyaram made with MTR multi-grain dosa mix

Ingredients

  • Oil – 2 tsp
  • MTR Mutligrain Dosa Mix – ½ cup
  • Curd / Yogurt – ½ cup
  • Ginger – 1 small piece, grated
  • Green Chili – 1 small. Chopped fine
  • Carrots – 2 tsp, grated fine
  • Onions – 2 tsp grated fine
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tsp, chopped fine

Instructions

    1. Take a bowl and add the MTR multigrain Dosa Mix & Curd/Yogurt to it.
    2. Mix well and make sure that there are no lumps in it. -Set aside for 5 minutes.
    3. Grease the Appe / Paniyaram Pan with good amount of oil and heat the pan on medium high heat.
    4. After 5 minutes of keeping the dosa batter aside, add all the finely chopped vegetables to it and stir in gently.
    5. Now pour little oil in the pan cavities & pour 2 tsp of MTR Multigrain Dosa Mix to each Appe pan cavities. Lower the heat to medium low.
    6. Cover with lid and let cook for about 3-4 minutes till they are lightly golden at the bottom.
    7. Remove the lid/cover. -With the help of a spoon or a pointed wooden spatula, turn the paniyaram gently to the other side and let cook for about another 3-5 minutes on medium heat till they are slightly golden.
    8. Take them out and serve them hot with any Chutney of your choice

Healthy Pizza made with MTR Rice Idli Mix

Ingredients

  • MTR Idli Batter
  • Curd 
  • Water 
  • Chopped Onion, tomatoes, Capsicum, corns.
  • Oil
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese 
  • Pizza seasoning, Chilli flakes and salt

Instructions

    1. Add water to the premix and make idli batter.
    2. Chop the veggies as per your choice. I have used Onion, tomatoes, Capsicum, corns.
    3. Take a flat pan and drizzle a little bit of oil on the pan.
    4. Pour the idli batter into the pan (A very thick layer covering the entire pan).
    5. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5-6 mins.
    6. Flip it and switch off the flame.-Now layer it with pizza sauce. And then add all the chopped Veggies.
    7. Top the veggies with grated mozzarella cheese, Pizza seasoning, Chilli flakes and salt.
    8. Now switch on the flame and cover the pan with the lid. Let it cook for 5-6 min.
    9. Your yummylicious healthy Pizza is ready to eat

Rava Idlis made with MTR Rava Idli Mix

Ingredients

  • MTR ready breakfast Rava mix 1 cup
  • Thick Curd Fresh/Sour 2.5 cups
  • Coriander Leaves Finely Chopped 1/4 cup
  • Cashews
  • Coconut Chutney

Instructions

    1. In a pan heat ghee and fry cashews until golden brown. Remove the cashews and set them aside
    2. Take 1 cup of MTR Rawa idli mix add 1 cup of curd.
    3. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes
    4. Now add 1.5 cups of curd and finely chopped coriander leaves.
    5. Mix everything together. The consistency should be neither too thick nor runny.
    6. Place roasted cashew on each of the idli molds. Take a small ladle of the batter and fill the idli mold.
    7. Steam cook it for 8-9 mins on medium flame. Rest for 5 mins before removing the idlis.
    8. Serve hot with coconut chutney and a generous drizzle of ghee on top

  • Coriander leaves
  • Carrot
  • Cloves
  • Beetroot
  • Red capsicum

Instructions

    1. Make small appe using idli mix and add little green food colour to the mix.
    2. Make small uttapam using MTR uttapam mix for sun and add little yellow colour (optional
    3. Now arrange them on the plate.
    4. First, make the caterpillar using small appe.
    5. Make eyes with cloves, antennas with beetroot, smile with capsicum, legs with a carrot.
    6. Make a sun with uttapam and rays, birds with the carrot.
    7. Put a few mashed appe for grass effect and coriander for trees.
    8. A healthy and innovative breakfast plate is ready.

idly lady bug garden with MTR Rice Idli Mix

Ingredients

  • Rice Idli - 3 pieces
  • Sprouts of your choice
  • Few sprigs of coriander leaves
  • Half carrot
  • 1 small size tomato
  • Ketchup
  • Green chutney 
  • Onion - ( optional )

Instructions

    1. Take one idli , carefully make 3 equal slits on it ( To make body of Lady bug ) . Repeat it on the second idli
    2. Take another idli piece and cut both sides. The sides we will use it as ladybug head. Carefully with a help of toothpick insert the coriander leaf stem to depict the tentacles of the ladybug .
    3. Now take a serving plate ( preferably solid colour plate )
    4. Carefully assemble the idli ladybug body and idli head
    5. Place a coriander sprig on the side and add some sliced tomato and carrot.
    6. Put sprouts at the bottom to depict garden/grass. You may steam or boil the sprouts if you don't like eating raw sprouts and can add some green chutney and season it.
    7. Add some tomatoes on top of a plate or decorate it as per your wish.
    8. With help of tomato ketchup, make polka dots on Idly ladybug body, to make it look more attractive. Use your creativity to make it look more colourful . Kids love colour platters.
    9. Voila !!! Your idly ladybug garden is ready

idli Cake made with MTR idli mix

Ingredients

  • MTR Idli Mix 
  • Green dhania/ pudina chutney 
  •  Beetroot puree 
  • Turmeric/Haldi powder 
  • Peri Peri sauce 
  • Cream cheese 
  • Garlic butter 
  • Salsa

Instructions

    1. Layer one : MTR idli mix made in a cake pan. Coloured with green dhania/ pudina chutney
    2. Layer two : Traditional idlis white in colour
    3. Layer three : This has beetroot puree mixed with the idli mix
    4. Layer four : I've added haldi powder to give that mustard colour
    5. To seal the layers use the following

      Peri Peri sauce
      Cream cheese
      Garlic butter
      Salsa
    6. The topping and decorations of the final layer are from olives, jalapenos and cherry tomatoes
