Gurgaonmoms celebrated Children’s day on 14th November at Excelsior American School with close to about 100 children from five schools in Gurgaon that support the less privileged kids achieve their dreams.
The energy and happiness in the air were just infectious! These kids, exhibited confidence, hope, and determination against the daily challenges they see in their everyday lives.They taught us many lessons and left us humbled!
With some support and a little push, we can help these kids find a better footing in life. We are listing the details of each of the schools that were a part of this event and how is it that you can help them out. Would request all to please come forward and support the children and help them fulfill their Çhoto-Si -Asha’
The Happy School
A primary school with facilities for students from nursery to Class 5, the Happy School is a government-aided NGO school.Children are taught by volunteers and government teachers alike, and the diversity in their staff and administration contributes to their eclectic methods.

NeeV-A Learning Centre
NeeV is a learning center for the underserved in Gurgaon. NCERT based education is provided to children and young adults. They take their class VIII OBE exam followed by class X and class XII NIOS exams

Lotus Petal Foundation
Lotus Petal Foundation is committed to providing a life of dignity to children and young adults from the less privileged background.Vidyananda School is a K – 5 primary school that prepares children to move into Pratishthan program after completing Grade 5. Pratisthan Learning Center is the secondary section of Lotus Petal that runs from Grade 6 to Grade 12

- Volunteer- Help them during lunch hours to serve. Storytelling in primary wing. After school support for the senior children for maths, science, and English.
- Invite young moms to celebrate their children’s birthday with the school children for Grade 1 to 3.
- Donate cleaning supplies and hand wash to the school. Harpic/Colin/Lysol/Dettol
- They need volunteers to help us with our annual day on December 22nd. Any extra set of hands would be welcome.
Ecolib Foundation – Radiant Kids
It works through literacy, livelihood promotion, and market linkages, for assisting kids from economically weaker sections of society, whose parents work as labors, domestic workers, security and support staff in both rural and urban setting.

Prachyesta – Ek Prayas
A school for supporting and polishing the brilliance of the underprivileged children who have had no or very little access to formal schooling. an endeavor of a few ordinary citizens of the country, thinking beyond their work, home, family, and children.Thier mission is to provide basic education for the underprivileged section of society.

- Volunteers for teaching at the school. They are open to volunteers coming once a week as long as they are regular. The classes we run are Nursery -1st, 6 days a week though on Saturday they prefer for them to do creative stuff – art & craft, dance, games, storytelling n enactment etc. The timings are 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Support for Rent payment which is Rs.10000/- per month at present
- Footwear for the children
- Sponsors for daily meal
