The summer vacation has started for some and just around the corner for others. So, what are your plans this vacation? We are sure most of us including the kids love to watch movies. From classics to new-age. Here’s the list of the suggested movies. It’s time to plan your movie days with your children and make this vacation a memorable one for them.

The Sound Of Music

The Sound of Music is a classic American musical drama film produced and directed by Robert Wise, and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. It is a beautiful story of how a nanny employs music and adventure to help children become closer to their father.Many songs from the movie are very popular such as "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Do-Re-Mi", and the title song "The Sound of Music"

The Wizard of Oz

The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American musical fantasy comedy-drama film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Maye. It is a successful adaptation based on the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The story revolves around Dorothy Gale who is swept away from a farm in Kansas to a magical land of Oz in a tornado and  how she embarks on a quest with her new friends to see the Wizard who can help her return home and help her friends as well

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a British musical adventure fantasy film directed by Ken Hughes and written by Roald Dahl and Hughes that released in 1968.The movie is about a not so lucky inventor who turns a broken-down Grand Prix car into a fancy vehicle for his children. They all and then they go off on a magical fantasy adventure to save their grandfather in a far-off land.

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 science fiction fantasy film co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the story of Elliott ,a lonely boy who befriends an extra-terrestrial, ‘E.T.’, who is stranded on earth. Elliot and his siblings help E.T. return home while attempting to keep it hidden from their mother and the government.

The Jungle Book 

The Jungle Book is a fantasy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Pictures that released in 2016. It is based on Rudyard Kipling's collective works and inspired by Walt Disney's 1967 animated film of the same name. The movie is the story of Mowgli, an orphaned human boy who with the help of his animal guardians, sets out on a journey of self-discovery away from the clutches of the tiger, Shere Khan

Madagascar

 Madagascar is an animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation. The film is a story of four animals from the Central Park Zoo who suddenly find themselves stranded on the island of Madagascar. It features the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Frozen

Frozen is another wonderful Walt-Disney animated musical fantasy film. The film is the story of a fearless princess who embarks on a journey with a rugged iceman, his loyal pet reindeer, and an unexperienced snowman to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have unintentionally trapped the kingdom in everlasting winter.

Moana

Moana is another animated film by Walt Disney Pictures that released in 2016. It is about Moana, the strong-willed daughter of the chief of a Polynesian tribe, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess. She sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in the hope of saving her people when a disease strikes her island.

Despicable Me

 

Despicable Me is a 3D computer-animated comedy film from Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment. The film has voice-overs by Steve Carell as Gru, a supervillain who adopts three girls from an orphanage and the voice of Jason Segel as Vector, an enemy of Gru who steals the Great Pyramid of Giza. When Gru learns about Vector's theft, he plans a bigger robbery: to shrink and steal the Earth's moon.

Harry Potter

Harry Potter is a British-American film series based on the Harry Potter novels by author J. K. Rowling. From 2001, Warner Bros. Pictures began releasing adaptations of these books. This fil series has  proven to be very popular and has become the highest-grossing motion picture series in history
