Gurgaonmoms is organizing a baking contest for its members in association with Academy of Pastry Arts Gurgaon.
The GurgaonMoms Baking Contest is open to all the members and those interested in participating would have to register and pay an amount of Rs 1000 which is a refundable deposit.

The competition will be held on 15th December 2017 and is open to all members of GurgaonMoms. It is a platform to bring all the passionate home bakers of GurgaonMoms on one platform for a friendly contest between the home bakers.

Competition Rules:
General
1. The competition is open to all members of GurgaonMoms ONLY.
2. Seeing the huge response, only the first thirty entries that are registered with us (GurgaonMoms ) will be allowed in the competition.
3. Registration is on First Come First Serve basis.
4. The items to be made for the competition have to be brought already baked. Garnishing, finishing & presentation may be done at the Competition area (Academy of Pastry Arts).
Date & Time
4. Competition Date: Friday, 15th December 2017
5. All members should reach the venue latest by 9.30 am.
6. 10 am to 10.30 am is the time to set up their presentation table.
7. The competition time is 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.

What to make:
The presentation set out on the buffet table must represent the theme of the competition and include:
a) One Travel Cake( For Example : Fruit Cake, Marble Cake , Brownie)
Requirements:
i) Weight Allowed: 1kg with 10% variation allowed
ii) Flavour: No restrictions
iv) No restriction on shape and size.
b) One Red Velvet Cake( Fondant decorations are allowed)
Requirements:
i) Weight Allowed: 1kg with 10% variation allowed
ii) No restriction on shape and size
Participants will have to carry a copy of their printed recipe.
Judges
Chef Faculty of the Academy of Pastry Arts will judge the competition. The judges include:
1. Chef Guillaume Lejeune, Director of Pastry Studies
2. Chef Eureka Araujo, India Pastry Queen 2017 winner
3. Chef Alisha Faleiro, India Pastry Cup 2017 winner
Judging Criteria
All the participants will be judged on following parameters:
1. Taste, Texture & Temperature
2. Presentation and Finish
3. Adherence to the rules
4. Cleanliness and Hygiene
5. Adherence to the recipe
6. Creativity
The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all participants.
Prize:
1st Prize: Gift Hamper + 2 Weekend Classes worth Rs 30,000
2nd Prize: Gift Hamper + 1 Weekend Classes worth Rs 15,000
3rd Prize: Gift Hamper
POINTS TO NOTE:
1. Each participant will have to get their product ready for display.
2. Each product will have to be accompanied with a printed copy of the recipe.
3. For display, one steel table will be shared by 2 participants. Table size : 2.5ft X 5ft
4. Participants will have to get their own crockery, cutlery and anything else required for the presentation
5. Each participant will have to make their own arrangements to carry their products to the venue
6. The prizes are non-transferable.
Guest Jury
Our members can also participate as Guest Jury for this contest where you would get to taste all the delectable cakes and also learn to make Macaroons from Chef Robin Bessege. Those interested have to register and pay Rs 500 (non-refundable)
