"I am too lazy to take out my car….I guess I would skip going out today…" she had a long n tiring day hence the reluctance…
"Nothing doing, these are your excuses…let me take you out on my bike today, the place is just ten minutes ride from here," he said with an audible hint of authority in his voice.

She contained herself hesitatingly and without much ado she got ready as she was left with no option what so ever.

"You know I am sitting on a bike after ages….always wanted to feel the pleasant assault of breeze against my face….luckily it's drizzling…but I am not afraid of getting drenched as I wanted to experience the rain drops softly hitting against my forehead…I wanted to fly like a bird…with arms spread..enjoying the manna from heaven…to drench my soul…" she said with many dreams floating in her eyes…..

"Ok ok hold your horses…sit upright..wear this helmet and let's go," he said with an impish smile…
"Hey ..we took a wrong turn…the place was right next to the D block…" she said…
"I am aware…I have taken a wrong turn on purpose….so that you can enjoy a longer ride…have fun..and if you want..I can allow you to ride my bike", he said with dollops of warmth.
For next 15 minutes, she became a young girl…rather a young kid…
She started singing "highway to hell" -a track by one of her fav metal band ACDC..in those 15 minutes she was floating like a dream…

Sigh…then he took over his bike.

The bike turned around…and headed back.

"Why have you turned back…how about the gym?"
"Do you really think we should enter the gym looking like this…bathed in rain? We are skipping it today…let's go home and BINGE", he declared…and rightly so.
As they entered the house….he started laughing….
"Dad, its time you buy a nice bike….perhaps a Harley …your wife is still a kid ….you should have seen her singing ACDC …God, I have one hell of a crazy mommy" he said it all in one breath…standing at the main entrance of their house….water dripping from both of them…..
Mommy blushed sheepishly…..Sonny boy had a laughter riot while a visibly confused dad chuckled seeing his son n wifey standing like two spoilt brats….grinning and giggling.
(Inspired by a true story…that happened in my house.
