Relocation with dogs

One fine day over a cup of tea, my husband mentions that we are moving out of Gurgaon. Better Job opportunity is always a selling point. Now before I begin my journey you should know that this is my third move with dog(s). I mean different moves with different dogs and different modes as well.  I was based in Gurgaon and blessed with (apart from a two legged human 7 year old boy) – two gorgeous Labradors. Both are 2 years and 5 months old, been with me since they were 40 days old. Popularly known as Bonkers (Male) & Pixie (Female) These were the various options for us or anyone else – By Road By Train By Air By Road Probably the best mode if the distance is short or you are used to travelling with dogs for a long time. The major issue would be getting places to stay on route that allow dogs ( in case of overnight journey) Your dogs might end up staying in the car that may not be best for them. For long distance, and if without another option. I have always heard them, seen their pictures often but never got a chance to...

I was always sure of what I wanted from life, being married and having two kids was almost priority number one and I stuck to it. The first time I got pregnant I was 26, young and excited. That pregnancy didn’t last beyond the 5th month for reasons I still cannot comprehend very well. Sometimes on days that are gloomy and depressing I wonder if I gave up too soon then....

Kids Do Everything #JustLikeMom

As my husband and I drove back home, tired and worn out, I was gathering strength to tackle my 7 year old daughter‘s tantrums. I thought she might be little upset with us!  We had gone for the usual weekend grocery shopping leaving our 7 year old daughter at home. She likes going out with us in the car; listening to some of her favourite songs and chatting with her dad! But grocery shopping doesn’t excite her much and so she reluctantly decided to stay back at home with her grandparents.  I rang the door bell, expecting to see my daughter...

A Day in the Life of a Mom – Crocs busy day contest Winner

And the shrill alarm rang at a horribly unearthly hour. Ma AllJazz rolled over, shut her phone with vehemence and slipped right back into her benign dream world. She was rudely woken up again, by what seemed like the retching sound of a week long undigested chicken. As she slowly came to life and as her brain cells powered up, Ma AllJazz discovered that the culprit was her phone, belting out her son's version of music. Perhaps, his way of getting even with her for the previous day's dinner, comprising of a very bitter gourd? Apple of her eye?...
